libkomparediff2-dev software package provides library to compare files and strings - development files, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libkomparediff2-dev
libkomparediff2-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libkomparediff2-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libkomparediff2-dev *
You will get with libkomparediff2-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
